Also in Iserlohn, inside Casa Azzurri, there is Sfumature di Azzurro, the traveling exhibition with memorabilia from Coverciano's Museo del Calcio (Italy's national team football museum), which will be with the national team at the European Championship that starts in a few days' time in Germany. Visited by the team and by Italy's Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, for the official opening event, the exhibition will allow you to admire part of the immense heritage that has enriched the museum collection since 1990 - the year the museum was founded.
The exhibition retraces Italy's adventure at past European Championships, a story that starts from the triumph in 1968 - with the shirt of Sandro Salvadore and the pennant from the final with Yugoslavia - passing through to the European Championship Italy hosted in 1980, thanks to Roberto Pruzzo's shirt. Then, there is a jump forward to EURO '88, with the ball from the competiton and the Italy vs. Spain pennant.
And there's more: the near victories at the beginning of the 2000s, with the shirts of Vincenzo Montella and Andrea Pirlo, bear witness to the finals reached in 2000 and 2012, and the Azzurri's last continental success, at EURO 2020, is represented by the shirt of Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was voted player of the tournament.
And being in Germany, it is impossible not to refer to the World Cup won in 2006 there. It will be possible to admire at the exhibition some unique items from that competition, such as Francesco Totti's shirt, the pennant from the Germany vs. Italy semi-final and the ball from the Berlin final against France. The exhibition will also have the World and European Cups won by the Azzurri on display.
Virtual reality. In addition to seeing the Azzurri's trophies and memorabilia up close, visitors will also have the opportunity to relive the 1982 world final. Thanks to virtual reality, by wearing a visor, fans will be able to experience the sensation of being on the pitch, next to Bruno Conti, Paolo Rossi and Alessandro Altobelli, or in the stands, between the President of the Republic, Sandro Pertini, and the Spanish King, Juan Carlos. The 'VR4Football' project was created by Noema Digital.
