Inaugurated in Bologna ‘Sfumature di Azzurro’, the Itinerant exhibition by the Coverciano Museum

This morning, 'Shades of Blue', the itinerant exhibition by the Museum of Football, was inaugurated at Palazzo D'Accursio, in Piazza Maggiore in Bologna. It will remain in the Emilian capital until June 4th.

The city of the 'two towers' will host the memorabilia from the Coverciano Museum until the day of the friendly match between Italy and Türkiye, due to take part at the Dall'Ara Stadium. This exhibition is part of the protocol signed with the Emilia-Romagna Region and follows the exhibitions already held in Cesena and Ferrara during the two Under 21 matches. Today's inauguration was attended by the president of the Football Museum Foundation, Matteo Marani.

The Hours.  The exhibition will be open to visitors at Palazzo D'Accursio (Piazza Maggiore 6, in Bologna), free of charge until Tuesday, 4 June, open between 08:30 to 18:30 CEST (only on Sunday, 2 June, admission will be allowed from 10:00 CEST).

The exhibited memorabilia. The exhibition traces the journey of the Italian national team at the European Championships. A story that begins with the triumph in 1968, depicted through Sandro Salvadore's jersey and the captain's armband from the final against Yugoslavia. It continues through the other European Championships hosted by Italy, in 1980, depicted with Roberto Pruzzo's jersey. Then a leap to Euro '88, with the tournament ball and the armband from Italy vs. Spain.

Additionally

Additionally, there are the victories narrowly missed in the early 2000s, with Vincenzo Montella and Andrea Pirlo's jerseys testifying to the finals reached in 2000 and 2012, until the latest continental success of the Azzurri, at EURO2020, with Gianluigi Donnarumma's jersey, voted as the competition's best player.

Since the European Championship is in Germany, it's impossible not to mention the World Cup won in 2006 on German soil. The exhibition features unique pieces from that competition such as Francesco Totti's jersey, the armband from the Germany vs. Italy semifinal, and the ball from the Berlin final against France.

The World Cups and European Cups won by the Azzurri will also be exhibited.
