Display case dedicated to Italy's university side inaugurated during Coverciano Open Day

The second Open Day at Coverciano – a day designed for fans wanting to visit the FIGC’s Technical Centre – was a great success, including for the Museo del Calcio.

Approximately 1,600 fans from all over Italy visited the Italian National Team’s museum. For the occasion, a new display case dedicated to Italy’s university side was inaugurated. This was in addition to futsal Coach Massimo Quattrini presenting new memorabilia for the display case promoting five-a-side football.

The Azzurri will be involved in the next Universiade in Naples in July. So far, Italy have won two gold medals in these Games: in Sicily in 1997 and in South Korea in 2015.

Marco Brunelli, the FIGC’s General Director, Maurizio Francini, the Director of the Museo del Calcio, and Fino Fini, President of the Museo del Calcio Foundation, joined Coach Paolo Berettini (who was on the Italian bench in 1997), Federico Masi and Filippo Corti – two players from Italy’s winning team from 2015 – at the inauguration.
