More chances to volunteer for UEFA EURO 2020 in Rome, with the Volunteer Programme initiatives back open for the first roaming European Championship in historyWednesday, June 24, 2020
Works to prepare for the UEFA EURO 2020 Volunteer Programme in Rome in 2021 have got right on track, with the aim being to promote sports volunteering in Italy as much as possible and leave a lasting legacy in the country.
With UEFA EURO 2020 postponed until 2021 and Rome confirmed as one of the twelve host cities for the first European Championship held across the continent in history, the Italian Football Federation is continuing its Volunteer Programme for UEFA EURO 2020 in Rome. Roughly 1,000 volunteers will be involved in the initiative, helping support sports professionals throughout the tournament in all of their games at the Stadio Olimpico at Rome and at their official UEFA bases.
In addition to the selection phases already carried out for volunteers across 2019 and 2020, a new application process for 2021 will be opening in the summer of 2020. All of the candidates already selected will have the chance to confirm their interest in taking part next year through a dedicated form, maintaining their previously accepted roles without any major changes to the work they’ll be asked to carry out.
