An important step forward has been adopted by the FIGC in terms of the sustainability strategy. Thanks to support from Sport and Health - for the UEFA Nations League match between Italy and Belgium scheduled for Thursday 10 October at Stadio Olimpico, Rome - the possibility for children with autism to attend the match in a 'Quiet Room' will be on offer for the first time in the history of the national team. The room will be dedicated at the Monte Mario Tribune.
A protected and welcoming environment - which was already used the recent Coppa Italia final as well as for concerts and other events such as the European Athletics Championships - in which young fans, protagonists of the project of the Youth Section and Scholastic for the FIGC 'Calcio Integrato', will be able to follow the match in total safety living the same experience enthusiastically like their team mates and the 3000 children from footballing schools in Rome and Lazio. In this way, everyone can play on the same pitch, sharing their passion for football, everyone will be able to be in the stadium together. The objective is to create an environment where each child, with different abilities, will be able to participate and feel part of the same big movement, whether it be on the pitch or in the stands.
VISUALLY IMPAIRED FANS. Following on from the recent National matches played in Italy, as well as for the occasion of the next matches in the Nations League against Belgium (10 October, Stadio Olimpico in Rome) and Israel (14 October, Stadio 'Friuli' in Udinese) an audio-description service will be active for visually impaired fans. For both of the two matches, the FIGC has invited 20 visually impaired spectators with a person to accompany them, who will be able to follow the Azzurri thanks to an audio broadcast which will be accessible on their own smartphones.
