UEFA initiates the refund process for European Championship tickets
Refund requests must be submitted by 26 May at the latest. Tickets will remain valid for those who wish to hold their places at the rescheduled tournament in 2021Tuesday, May 5, 2020
UEFA has started the refund process for EURO 2020 tickets, the first European Championship to be held in multiple countries across Europe which has been postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Refund requests must be submitted by 14:00 CEST on Tuesday 26 May, and are only available for ticket holders who can no longer attend the tournament. There will be no need to take any action for those who wish to hold on to their places at the games in 2021: their tickets will remain valid.
The refund process will start no later than June 2020, after the closure of the Ticket Return Portal. In the event of a refund, ticket holders will receive their money back on the card they used to pay for their tickets. If the credit card expired since the buyer paid for the tickets and the refund is unsuccessful, the amount will be refunded to the buyer by bank transfer. Those affected will be contacted at a later stage and will be asked to provide their bank account details.
After the new match schedule for the tournament in 2021 is confirmed, should fans be unable to attend the postponed tournament, they will have another opportunity to return their tickets and receive a full refund of the ticket price.
