The 13th and final session of the season for the UEFA Hattrick programme took place at Centro Sportivo Viola Park in Bagno a Ripoli. Players, coaches and medical staff from ACF Fiorentina met the FIGC Anti-Doping Commission and NADO Italia for an in-depth discussion on anti-doping rules and correct practices to follow in order to prevent the use of banned substances.
The President of the FIGC Anti-Doping Commission, Giuseppe Capua and the NADO Italia General Director, Alessia Di Gianfrancesco covered key topics, including: Anti-Doping regulations, with rules set by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and national organisations such as NADO Italia; Athletes’ rights and procedures regarding doping checks, an update on banned substances and methods; the consequences of using prohibited substances, including sanctions for those who test positive; ways to avoid unintentional violations, emphasising proper nutrition, responsible use of supplements, and collaboration with sporting doctors.
