The official ball of the European Championship, Uniforia, has been presented
The design represents bridges to be crossed, vanishing borders and the tournament's diversityThursday, November 7, 2019
It’s called Uniforia after the sense of euphoria that international football can inspire. The official match ball for UEFA EURO 2020 from Adidas was designed to celebrate the inclusive spirit that the tournament will bring all around Europe.
In order to celebrate 60 years of the European Championship, the tournament will move around twelve countries across Europe. This new format provides the inspiration for the ball.
By combining art and football, Uniforia’s design crosses bridges and borders according to the diversity of the competition which has been a key theme since the start in 2018.
The design of Uniforia features black panels all around the ball which represents crossing borders in the new format of the competition. The panels are crossed by bright colours which symbolise the diversity of the tournament and its ability to unite different cultures.
UEFA EURO 2020’s opening fixture will be at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on 12 June before coming to an end on 12 July with the final at Wembley in London.
Along with Rome and London, matches will take place in Amsterdam, Baku, Bilbao, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Glasgow, Munich and St Petersburg.
