There was a chocolate surprise this morning. As part of its collaboration with the Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital and thanks to Bauli, official licensee of the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio, the FIGC donated 750 Easter eggs to youngsters being treated at the hospital’s four inpatient centres: Gianicolo (in Rome), Palidoro, Santa Marinella and Passoscuro (where the Paediatric Palliative Care Centre was recently opened).
Furthermore, another 100 eggs were delivered to the Umberto I Paediatrics Clinic on Viale Regina Elena in Rome, with the aim of bringing a bit of joy to the young patients receiving treatment there. Very much aware of its role, the FIGC continues to go down a path of social responsibility, actively supporting initiatives that help those working with children.
“When we’ve visited pediatric hospital wards, we’ve seen how amazing the children are with their tenacity and positivity,” said FIGC President Gabriele Gravina. “However, their incredible inner strength mustn’t make us forget that they need care, love and attention. This is why I’m delighted that Bauli fully embraced our request, thus putting a smile on the faces of those who are going through a tough time.”
