Project HatTrick V: U19s participate in anti-doping awareness event

The FIGC’s Anti-doping Commission and NADO Italia’s awareness campaign continues alongside UEFA’s ‘HatTricK V’, which has a duel objective to both guarantee that all footballers in Europe are educated on anti-doping as well as to promote positive attitudes towards clean sport.

After the first event of the season with the staff and players at Inter, this morning at the Best Western Hotel Cavalieri in Corona di Cardano al Campo in the area of Milan, the Federal Anti-doping Commission and NADO Italia met with the players and the medical and technical staff of the National Under 19 team who are on retreat ahead of their two friendly matches with Serbia, scheduled for Wednesday 11 and Saturday 14 October.

Francesca Sordini of the Federal Anti-doping Commission outlined the educative programme and its aims, whilst Francesca Boscariol of NADO Italia spoke about anti-doping awareness in general and the RTP (Registered Testing Pool), reminding the squad of the prohibited substances and explaining how to request a Therapeutic Use Examination (TUE). The next event will be with the Azzurrini of the Under 17s side on Monday 23 October.
