IFAB have extended the rule that allows managers to make up to five substitutions per game in competitions that finish before 21 July 2021, and also international fixtures in July/August 2021. The intial decision was taken on 8 May 2020 in order to safeguard the health of the players after the long break, casued by COVID-19.
Each team will be allowed to make changes in three blocks, but substitutions made at half time will not be taken into account as one the three blocks.
