The current Azzurre era under Andrea Soncin began 15 months ago in September 2023: since then, over the course of almost a season and a half, the Azzurre has played 16 games, sic in the Nations League, six European qualifiers and four friendlies: in 16 games, nine were played at home and seven away.

There have been six wins (four at home and two away), six draws and four defeats for a total of 24 points (an average of 1.5 per game - 1.66 at home and 1.28 away), 23 goals scored (1.43) and 13 conceded (0.81). In the 1440 minutes played, the Azzurre were leading for 477 minutes (33.2%), on level footing for 738 minutes (51.3%) and trailing for 220 minutes (15.4%).

INDIVIDUAL STATS. From September 2023 to now, 56 players have been called up with 37 taking to the field. Caruso, Giuliani and Linari have consistently features as goalkeeper - defender - midfielder in Soncin’s set-up: they have picked up 15 appearances in 16 games. On 14 appearances, another heavily featured group: Di Gugliemo, Lenzini, Giacinti and Greggi.

In terms of minutes played, Giuliani and Linari are the only two players to have featured for the full 90 minutes of their 15 games played for a total of 1350 minutes. In the ranking, we then find Di Guglielmo (1194), Lenzini (1191) and Caruso (1186). Of the 37 players fielded, four have made their debuts: Cambiaghi, Oliviero, Piga and Schatzer. In the recent friendlies, as well as handing out debuts to Piga and Schatzer, Soncin brought back Durante and Goldoni. For the latest training camp at Coverciano, two girls from Serie B (Copetti and Nischler) joined the Azzurre ranks taking the total number of players at second division sides to three (with Shore from Bologna).

So far, 12 different players have scored (3 Giacinti, Cambiaghi e Giugliano; 2 Beccari, Cantore, Caruso e Linari, 1 Bonfantini, Di Guglielmo, Girelli, Glionna and Salvai). There have been a total of 13 yellow cards (2 Bonfantini, Caruso and  Giugliano, 1 Bartoli Boattin, Di Guglielmo, Galli, Giuliani, Salvai, Severini). Linari has worn the captain’s armband 13 times (2 Girelli and 1 Gamma); Bonfantini, Dragoni, Beccari and Salvai are the players who most often came in off the bench (6). Giacinti has been substituted the most (11 times in 14 appearances). 

CLUB OF ORIGIN. Last season, the 52 players called up came from 10 Italian clubs, 8 in Serie A and two in Serie B and two foreign clubs. In this second season, also given Aurora Galli’s injury who plays for Everton in the Premier League, there are only players (35) competing with Italian clubs: 7 top-division sides (including Lazio who have a player featuring with the Azzurre for the first time in several years) and two from the second division.
