FIGC express their condolences for the passing of Sergio 'Bobo' Gori

The FIGC and president Gabriele Gravina wish to express their condolences to the family of Sergio 'Bobo' Gori, who passed away overnight at the age of 77. Born in Milan on 24 February 1946 and brought up in the youth sector of Inter (with whom he won two league titles, a Champions League and two Intercontinental Cups), he played most of his career with Cagliari, with whom he was one of the stars of the side that won the 1970 Scudetto, a year in which he was also part of the national team that came runners-up at the Mexico World Cup. With Italy he received eight call-ups and made three appearances; he also played for Vicenza, Juventus (with whom he was Italian champion in 1977, also the year of his triumph in the UEFA Cup) and Verona, finishing in the then Serie C2 with Sant'Angelo.
