On 23 September, the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan will host the 30th meeting between Italy and England (kick-off at 20:45 CEST). The two EURO 2020 finalists will face off again on matchday five in Group 3 of the UEFA Nations League, just over three months on from the reverse fixture that finished 0-0 in Wolverhampton on 11 June.
Starting at 12:00 CEST on Monday 22 August, the first sales window will open for holders of a Vivo Azzurro Membership Card. Tickets can be purchased via Vivaticket sales points and on the websites figc.vivaticket.it and vivaticket.com. They will go on general sale from 12:00 CEST on Wednesday 24 August.
The FIGC continues its well-received price offers (the cheapest tickets from €10), with many discounts for families, young people and Over-65s.
The Azzurri, who are currently third in the group with five points, behind Hungary (7) and Germany (6), are still in the race to finish first, which would see them qualify for the Final Four scheduled for the summer of 2023. The game at San Siro and the successive fixture in Budapest against the Hungarians on 26 September will decide matters.
In 29 previous clashes against England, the Azzurri have won ten times and lost on eight occasions, with eleven draws completing the picture. It will be Italy’s 60th match in Milan, where they’ve recorded 37 wins, played out 19 draws and lost three times. Their last fixture in the Lombard capital was played just under a year ago, when they lost to Spain in October 2021 in the Nations League Final Four.
