Italy have set a new record for the longest winning streak between the qualifiers and the finals of the Euros: 15.
The Azzurri have scored 90 goals under Roberto Mancini, who has no reached the same number as set under Arrigo Sacchi: only Pozzo, Bearzot and Valcareggi have overseen more goals.
Lorenzo Insigne scored Italy’s eleventh goal at these Euros, an absolute record in a single edition of the tournament for the Azzurri. The last time that Italy scored more at a major tournament was at the 2006 World Cup (2006).
Italy’s midfielders have chipped in with five goals at this tournament, no other side has more.
All six of Barella’s Italy goals have come in the first half of games.
