An appointment at “Casa Azzurri Inghilterra”, a meeting point for fans and sponsors following the Azzurre at Euro 2022

For the first time ever in a women’s football tournament, the FIGC will open the doors of its “Casa Azzurri”, a place for Italy supporters and sponsors to gather and meet during the European Championships in England. For the three group games, versus France, Iceland and Belgium on 10, 14 and 18 July, respectively, “Casa Azzurri Inghilterra” will be hosted by “The Anthologist” in St. Peter’s Square, Manchester, in the heart of the city centre. The city will also host the Azzurre’s second and third games at the Manchester City Academy Stadium.

It is further confirmation of the ever-growing popularity for the women’s game among the media, businesses and football fans, especially for the National team, who gained a lot fondness and support after their 2019 World Cup campaign, with record TV numbers and social media hype. “Casa Azzurri Inghilterra” will be a place for all Italians to come together and follow the Euros, and a valuable reference point for the Italian community in Manchester.

“Casa Azzurra is once again confirmed as the home for all football supporters” - comments Giovanni Valentini, Head of Business for the FIGC - “ and it will follow the Azzurre through their European campaign that kicks off in the following days. Over the years” – Valentini adds - “it has become a promotional tool to showcase the excellence of Italy to the world: not only our sporting industry but we are proud to export our gastronomy, music, tourism and culture. As always, FIGC’s commercial partners will be at our side and support our girls in this new adventure”.

At “Casa Azzurri Inghilterra” it will be possible to watch the Azzurre’s games live on a big screen with a bar and dedicated restaurant area, in a unique location that will bring out the fun, passion and love for the Azzurri colours. At the venue, which can hold up to 250 people, official Italy merchandise, including the Puma Liberty shirt that the team will wear during the Euros, will be on sale. And of course, our special guest; our mascot, a maremmano-abbruzzese shepherd puppy dog, designed by Carlo Rambaldi.

LIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS

“Casa Azzurri Inghilterra” will also be constantly present on all the team’s social media channels. There will be photos and dedicated video clips that will take you on a journey experienced through the eyes of the Italy supporters during the games. Before each of the Azzurre’s EURO 2022 games, there will be a live pre-match stream to soak up the atmosphere around the ground in the build-up to kick-off.
