The best Italian performers on matchday four according to the media
Three forwards make up the line-up after their valuable goals assists in this week's Serie A round-upMonday, September 23, 2019
Here are the players who earned the highest ratings in the bestselling Italian sports newspapers (La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport) thanks to their performances at the weekend.
Francesco CAPUTO (G 7,5; C 7,5; C 8) Sassuolo 3-0 SPAL
He’s fitting in excellently as part of the attacking system for De Zerbi’s Sassuolo side who want to surprise. He already has a great understanding with Berardi which is getting the best out of both and his two goals were of great importance. A great display from a player who is ready to take the limelight after years of honourable service elsewhere.
Federico CHIESA (G 7; C 7; T 8) Atalanta 2-2 Fiorentina
It was the best performance of the season so far for Fiorentina’s main creative threat as he scored one goal and provided an assist for Ribery as the Viola went two up before being pegged back. We saw him back at his best as he continues to shine as one of the brightest young talents across Europe.
Domenico BERARDI (G 7; C 7,5; T 7,5) Sassuolo 3-0 SPAL
He’s hit five goals already this season and was able to add two assists in the comfortable win over SPAL. He looks to be back at his best in this new-look Neroverdi side and anything is possible if he can keep it up.
