The best Italian performers on matchday 20 according to the media
There were three players who really stood out in Serie A this weekTuesday, January 21, 2020
Ciro IMMOBILE (G 8; C 9; T 8,5) Lazio 5-1 Sampdoria
He’s now scored 23 goals in 19 matches, an average of 1.21 goals a game. His numbers speak for themselves but perhaps don’t fully capture just how important he is to a Lazio side that is undoubtedly in the race for the Scudetto title. The hat-trick he netted against Sampdoria confirmed just how deadly he is at every opportunity. We’ve long run out of superlatives.
Ernesto TORREGROSSA (G 8; C 8; T 8) Brescia 2-2 Cagliari
It was a Sunday that he won’t be forgetting in a hurry as he led by example up front. His brace allowed Brescia to pick up a point against a Cagliari side who, despite currently being in poor form, are still flying high in the table. His second goal really confirmed his striking ability: an absolute rocket from distance that send the Rigamonti wild.
Manuel LAZZARI (G 7,5; C 8; T 7,5) Lazio 5-1 Sampdoria
He was constantly involved in this big Lazio win, his performance even going beyond what he produced against SPAL, against whom he imposed himself to great effect. An unselfish and decisive player and a very willing runner, he constantly makes his contribution to the Biancocelesti’s attacking play.
