According to the three main sports publications in Italy, Pietro Terracciano was the best Italian on matchday 38 of the Serie A season.
Terracciano took centre stage in the 0-0 draw between Crotone and Fiorentina at the Stadio Ezio Scida, earning an average rating of 7.5 thanks to the 8 awarded to him by Tuttosport, the 7.5 from La Gazzetta dello Sport and the 7 from Corriere dello Sport-Stadio.
It was a great performance between the sticks from the 31-year-old, who produced three decisive stops in the first half. In the sixth minute, he got a crucial touch to Messias’ dangerous shot across goal. Then, he rushed off his line to win the one-on-one battle with the same opposition player with 39 minutes on the clock. Finally, he showed superb reflexes to keep out Djidji’s header a minute later.
It was a big display from Terracciano, who once again displayed his reliability between the sticks.
