Nicolò Barella was the best Italian player on matchday 21 in Serie A according to the ratings given by the three principal sports publications in the country.
He scored one of Inter’s two goals in the win over Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and picked up an average rating of 7.5, thanks to the unanimous consensus from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and Tuttosport: 5.5 all round.
Dragowski denied him an almost certain goal but he wasn’t deterred and opened the scoring in the 31st with a sublime effort on the turn – his third goal in the league this season. He combines quality and quantity like few others and has become a key figure in Conte’s Inter side.
