Lorenzo Pellegrini was the best Italian player on matchday 19 in Serie A according to the ratings given by the three principal sports publications in the country.
The goal fest against Spezia saw the Roma midfielder’s ratings skyrocket. Pellegrini obtained an average media rating of 7.83, thanks to the 8 given by both the Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and Tuttosport and to the 7.5 from La Gazzetta dello Sport.
In the epic clash at the Olimpico, Pellegrini – who captained his side – both scored and provided an assist. His pass in the 17th minute carved out the chance for Mayoral to open the scoring. Above all, it was down to his goal in injury time to give Roma an unexpected victory. Pellegrini’s personal tally for the season now stands at four goals and four assists.
