Gianluca Caprari and Alex Cordaz were the best Italian players on matchday 14 in Serie A according to the top three sports newspapers in Italy.
Both took centre stage in the respective sides’ victories over Udinese and Parma, earning the duo an average score of 7.33. Caprari was given a 7.5 by La Gazzetta dello Sport and the Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and a 7 by Tuttosport. Cordaz, meanwhile, received a 7.5 from both the Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and Tuttosport, with La Gazzetta dello Sport going for a slightly lower score of 7.
In Udinese vs. Benevento, Caprari broke the deadlock with a precise left-footed strike, his fourth goal of the season. Then, in the second half, he provided Letizia with the assist to seal a 2-0 win (the third time he’s set a teammate up to score this campaign).
In Crotone vs. Parma, Cordaz produced three great saves to deny Inglese, Karamoh and Brunetta, helping the team from Calabria to record the second league victory of the season and move off the bottom.
