Giacomo Raspadori was the best Italian player on Serie A matchday 32 according to the three principal sports publications in the country.
His brace was the deciding factor in Sassuolo’s comeback at San Siro and earned him an average rating of 8, thanks to the unanimous evaluation from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and Tuttosport.
He started on the bench before being brought on by De Zerbi in the 64th minute, after which he would change the course of the game. Twelve minutes into his substitute appearance, he scored the equalizer to make it 1-1, slotting home from just a few yards out. He scored the winner with just seven minutes remaining in the game; he was fed by Berardi, beat Tomori and rifled in an accurate effort into the bottom corner – 2-1 to the Neroverdi.
That was the 21-year-old Emilian’s fourth goal of the season and will be sure to give him a boost in confidence ahead of the Under-21 Euro quarter-final against Portugal on 31 May.
