Emanuel Vignato was the best Italian on Serie A matchday 34 according to the ratings provided by the three principal sports newspapers in the country.
He was one of the key figures in a wild 3-3 draw at the Dall’Ara on Sunday, and received an average rating of 8.17, thanks to an 8.5 from Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and two 8’s from La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport.
The former Chievo man was in fine form and provided a hattrick of exquisite assists, all of which were for Palacio. The first came after half an hour with Vignato playing a fantastic ball, which split the defence right down the middle. He provided his second assist with 20 minutes remaining; Vignato whipped in a dangerous cross for Palacio to deftly head home into the far corner. The third and final assist, with just six minutes to go, was another perfectly judged through ball, which carved the Viola backline in two, setting up a third equaliser for the Rossoblù.
As well as the telling assists, the young Brazilian-Italian put in a performance rich with quality touches as Bologna secured an important point on their way to survival.
