He scored the momentary equaliser for Spezia against Lazio at Stadio Olimpico, and collected an average rating of 7.5, unanimously awarded to him by Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and Tuttosport.

He came on with twenty minutes to go, and after only three minutes he managed to pull off one of the most beautiful technical manoeuvres of the season: Gyasi’s cross from the left was met with perfect coordination by the former Hellas Verona man, who sent the ball into the top corner with a sublime bicycle kick.
