Ciro Immobile and Davide Zappacosta rated as the best Italians on matchday 33 by the media

Ciro Immobile and Davide Zappacosta were the best Italian players from matchday 33 in Serie A according to the three principal sports newspapers in Italy.
The Lazio man was one of the key figures in the Biancocelesti’s win over AC Milan, which Zappacosta shone in a local Ligurian showdown between Genoa and Spezia at Marassi. Both received an average rating of 7.33 from the various evaluations from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport-Stadio and Tuttosport.
Zappacosta was ever-present in Genoa’s most threatening offensive actions. He tested Provedel in the 28th minute with a brilliant right-footed effort on the turn from outside the area. 16 minutes later, he beat Badelj and narrowly missed with a left-footed volley. Finally, with half an hour to go, he carried the ball down the left and fired a low driven effort, which was spilt by Provedel for Scamacca to sweep home. The former Torino man put in a dazzling display in a vital win for Genoa in the relegation battle.
Immobile was a constant thorn in AC Milan’s side at the Olimpico. It took him just two minutes to set up Correa for the opener. Three minutes later, his close-range effort was saved by Donnarumma. In the 80th minute, fed by Luis Alberto, he dinked it over the Rossoneri ‘keeper with a delightful chip that swerved away and hit the post. He did get his goal in the end; three minutes from full time, he rifled in a precise right-footed effort to make it 3-0 to Lazio. The Lazio and Italy has now scored 18 goals in the league and has bagged four in his last three games.
